LEVITTOWN, N.Y. (1010 WINS) – A 12-year-old boy was taken to a Long Island hospital by police helicopter Monday after he was struck by a minivan while riding his bike.

Nassau County police said the boy was on his bike in Levittown at 11:45 a.m. when a woman driving a Toyota Sienna struck him at Bucket and Grassy lanes.
The boy suffered injuries to his head and legs in what police described as a “serious” crash.
The child was transported by Nassau police helicopter to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The driver remained at the scene, police said.
No arrests have been reported.
