NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Two drivers fatally struck a man crossing a Brooklyn street Monday night and then fled the scene—less than two weeks after a grandmother was killed by two hit-and-run drivers in the borough.

The 46-year-old victim was attempting to cross 37th Street at Fort Hamilton Parkway in Borough Park shortly after 10:30 p.m. when he was hit by a Honda CRV driver headed southbound on Fort Hamilton Parkway, police said.

He fell to the ground and was struck by the driver of a second car.

Both drivers fled the intersection, leaving the man mortally wounded on the pavement, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

Just an hour before that crash, a woman was crossing a street in Borough Park when the driver of a 2015 GMC pickup struck and critically injured her.

The victim was attempting to cross 11th Avenue at 64th Street when the pickup driver hit her while making a left turn, police said.

She was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition.

A 40-year-old man driving the pickup remained at the scene, and no criminality is suspected, according to the NYPD.

The fatal double hit-and-run comes less than two weeks after two drivers struck and killed a 79-year-old woman as she was in a crosswalk just blocks from her home in Crown Heights on the evening of Nov. 2.

The victim, Yvonne Sandiford, was dragged by the driver of a gray Nissan Rogue and then struck by the driver of a white Toyota Sienna minivan.

Both drivers fled the scene and have not been caught.
