NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A second person died after an alleged DWI driver plowed into a car in Queens early Monday morning, police said Tuesday.

Police responded to the deadly crash at 4:25 a.m. in the vicinity of 117th Street and 111th Avenue in South Ozone Park, officials said.

A preliminary investigation determined that 22-year-old Tamir Khan was driving a 2013 Audi A4 northbound on 117th Street when he struck a 2001 Toyota Camry traveling westbound on 111th Avenue.

As a result of the collision, the Toyota Camry spun clockwise and struck a wooden pole.

The Audi A4 continued northbound on 117th Street and struck two unoccupied parked vehicles.

There were two occupants inside of the Toyota Camry at the time of the collision, police said.

EMS transported the driver of the Camry, 64-year-old John Inderdeo to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

A front seat passenger, 71-year-old Charles Harris, was also transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in critical condition but ultimately died of his injuries, police confirmed Tuesday.

Khan was taken into custody at the scene and charged with vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and drunk driving, cops said.

An investigation remains ongoing.
