Man shot in his apartment building among 3 killed in NYC shootings overnight

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Three men were shot and killed in the Bronx and Queens overnight, including a man who was shot in the vestibule of his apartment building, police said Tuesday.

The first victim was a 26-year-old man who was shot on Vyse Avenue, near E. 174th Street, in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx around 9:15 p.m.


Police responding to a 911 call found the victim unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Less than four hours later in Queens, a 28-year-old man was shot in the vestibule of his apartment building on 184th Street, near Henderson Avenue, in St. Albans around 1 a.m., police said.

Officers found the victim in front of 102-33 184th St. with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center but did not survive. He was later identified as Broderick Daniels.

A shooting in the Bronx around 4:30 a.m. claimed the life of a third man, police said.

The man was found unconscious by responding officers in front of 1476 Walton Ave. in the Mt. Eden section.

EMS rushed the victim to BronxCare Health System, where he was pronounced dead. He has not been identified.

No arrests have been made in any of the shootings amid ongoing investigations, police said.
