NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — One man is in critical condition and two more were injured after they were shot at a Queens gas station early Sunday morning, police said.

The shooting unfolded shortly after 1 a.m. at the Mobile gas station on the corner of Beach Channel Drive and Beach 38th Street in the Edgemere section of Far Rockaway, police said.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the chest; a 32-year-old man was shot six times and a third man was also shot, according to police.

All three are being treated at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, where the 25-year-old was in critical condition. The other two victims were stable, police said.

The shooter remains at large and an investigation is ongoing.

Residents were shocked to hear of the gunfire in the typically quiet neighborhood.

“There is a lot of family and kids and stuff — so it’s strange when you hear stuff like that sometimes,” said one neighbor who heard the shots ring out.

The shooting occurred about an hour and a half after a 25-year-old woman was shot four times as she left a baby shower in Brooklyn, police said.
