NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Five people were shot and wounded at a party in Brooklyn early Saturday morning, police said.

The victims were shot at a "pop-up" after-hours party on Flushing Avenue, near Bushwick Avenue, in Williamsburg around 4 a.m., according to police.

Officers responding to a 911 call found a 23-year-old woman who had been shot in her right leg. She was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was in stable condition.

Within a short amount of time, four other gunshot victims showed up at area hospitals. The four men, ages 24, 28, 34 and 49, were all hit in their lower extremities and had non-life-threatening injuries.

NYPD Deputy Chief Michael Kemper said the pop-up party was in a converted garage.

Shell casings were found inside the building and outside on the street.

Police said they don't yet know the motive but that an argument had broken out before the gunfire erupted.

"As individuals began fleeing the location, additional shots were fired outside," Kemper said.

The shooter or shooters fled the scene, police said. No arrests have been reported.

The shooting was among several in Brooklyn and Queens over the past 24 hours that left several people dead.

In Brooklyn, a 17-year-old boy was killed and two other teens were wounded after they were shot by a gunman in a car.

A 37-year-old woman died after she was caught in crossfire in Queens. A 24-year-old man was also killed in the borough when he was shot while sitting in a car.
