NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 24-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday in Queens, reportedly as he sat in a car with friends.
The victim was shot on 98th Avenue, near 219th Street, in Queens Village around 1 a.m., police said.
Officers responding to a 911 call found him with gunshot wounds to his chest and right arm.
He was rushed to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police told the Daily News that the victim, who hasn't been identified, was in an idling car with friends when a gunman in a white car opened fire.
No one else was reported wounded in the shooting.
Police said an investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been reported.
The man was among several shooting victims in the city over the past 24 hours.
A 37-year-old woman was killed after she was caught in crossfire in Queens.
In Brooklyn, a 17-year-old boy was killed and two other teens were wounded after they were shot by someone in a car.
Five people were also shot and wounded at a "pop-up" party in Brooklyn.
