NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Mayor Eric Adams believes “there are ghosts” haunting Gracie Mansion.
Adams revealed his superstitions about the mayor’s official residence during an appearance in the press booth at Tuesday night's Yankees game in the Bronx.

YES Network broadcaster Michael Kay mentioned that the Yorkville mansion “doesn’t seem cool enough” for Adams.
“No, it’s not, trust me,” the mayor responded. “I don’t care what anyone says, there are ghosts in there, man.”
Adams said he sees stuff moving at the 223-year-old mansion “all the time.”
“Listen, they’re creeping around,” the mayor said.

Former first lady Chirlane McCray, wife of Bill de Blasio, has also hinted at the presence of spirits in the stately mansion.
In 2017, McCray said she heard the daughter of the original owner, Archibald Gracie, haunts the two-story home.
“I’ve never seen her,” McCray said. “But there are times when doors open and close by themselves, and the floorboards creak as though someone is walking through the rooms.”
