NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Hundreds of Russian-Americans on Sunday filled the streets and boardwalk of Brighton Beach -- the Brooklyn neighborhood that's home to one of the Russian diaspora's largest communities -- to denounce the invasion of Ukraine by their homeland's leader, Vladimir Putin.

Rally attendees carried signs that read, "I am Russian and I am for peace," "I am Russian and I say no to war," "F*** Putin" and "Ukrainians will resist."

There was a sea of signs in Ukrainian, as well as Ukrainian flags. Some people wore traditional Ukrainian attire. The crowd also spanned the age spectrum, from young to old.
