NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police in Florida have apprehended the woman who they say fatally shot another woman on a Brooklyn street over the summer.

NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said the suspect in the Aug. 4 executive-style killing in Crown Heights was arrested this week in Jacksonville, Florida.

The alleged shooter's identity was not immediately released.

Surveillance footage captured the gruesome killing around 9:40 p.m. on a busy sidewalk on Franklin Avenue, near Prospect Place.

In the video, the suspect casually approached a group of people, pulls out a handgun and shoots the victim in the head at point-blank range.

The suspect then is seen walking away and escaping in a white SUV.

Authorities said the victim, 42-year-old Delia Johnson, suffered gunshot wounds to her head and leg. She was pronounced dead at Interfaith Hospital.

Johnson's family told the Daily News that they believe the shooter followed her to the location from a funeral in the area.

"She was at a funeral earlier in the evening for an old neighborhood friend to pay her respects, and then this happened," her brother, Mathis Johnson, told the outlet. "It was horrible. That lady executed my sister."
