NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 16-year-old boy was rescued after falling into a chimney at a Brooklyn school early Wednesday morning, officials said.
Emergency crews responded to P.S. 255 in Homecrest shortly before 4 a.m., police said.
The boy fell into an opening of a chimney on the roof of the school, but he didn't fall all the way down the shaft, according to police.
The boy was rescued and taken in stable condition to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was examined.
Police said the teen was in the company of at least one other boy when he fell into the chimney.
The teen was issued a criminal summons for trespassing, police said.
