NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 71-year-old bicyclist was struck and killed by a U.S. Postal Service truck outside Central Park on the Upper West Side on Tuesday evening, police said.
The cyclist was traveling northbound on Central Park West when he was struck by the truck, whose driver was also traveling northbound and attempting to make a right turn onto W. 86th Street, according to police.

EMS and police responded to the scene around 5:40 p.m. and rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was pronounced dead.
The man's identity has been withheld pending the notification of his family.
It appears the USPS driver stayed at the scene. Citizen App video shows a bicycle next to the postal truck.
No arrests have been reported, according to police, who said an investigation is ongoing.
