NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 69-year-old bystander was shot to death in East Harlem on Wednesday afternoon, police said, as investigators search for the gunman.

The woman was shot in the face at the intersection of 110th Street and Madison Avenue just before 12:30 p.m., officials said.

She was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

It comes as police investigate multiple fatal shootings in the Bronx from Tuesday and Wednesday.
