NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two fires broke out at the same Brooklyn church in less than six hours, the FDNY said Monday.

A small fire started at the Tabernacle of God in Christ Jesus Church on Bedford Avenue, near Sterling Place, in Crown Heights around 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, the department said.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 7:30 p.m., with one person suffering a minor injury, according to the department.

Five hours later, around 12:30 a.m., a second fire broke out at the house of worship, the FDNY said. Around 60 firefighters managed to put out that blaze by around 2:40 a.m., the department said.

One person was treated for injuries at the scene, but declined to be transported to the hospital, according to the department.

It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the two fires. An investigation is ongoing.
