NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A Jewish woman was tripped to the pavement on a Brooklyn street last month in a suspected hate-fueled assault, police said Friday.

The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force released images of the suspect they're searching for in the June 13 attack.

The 51-year-old victim was walking at Empire Boulevard and Rogers Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens at 10 a.m. when a man walking in the opposite direction tripped her for no reason.

The suspect kept walking down Empire Boulevard after the attack and was last seen entering the Sterling Street station at Nostrand Avenue, police said

The woman fell to the sidewalk, suffering bruises and abrasions to her hands and knees.

The man didn't say anything before or after tripping her, according to police, who said the woman was wearing traditional Jewish clothing at the time.

He continued to walk down Empire Boulevard and was last seen entering the Sterling Street subway station at Nostrand Avenue, police said.

Images released by the NYPD show the suspect at the station and on the street.

The victim was transported by EMS to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was treated and released.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
