NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 68-year-old man was punched and robbed as he got off a train at a Brooklyn subway station this week, police said.
The man was stepping off an R train at the Bay Ridge Avenue station in Bay Ridge around 3:30 p.m. Thursday when he was targeted by two men, police told the Daily News.
One of the men punched the victim in the head and the other went through his pockets, police said.
The duo stole the man's ID, MetroCard and $30 cash before separating, with one hopping on a train and the other exiting the station, according to police.
The victim suffered a cut to his face but was not seriously injured.
