NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A transit thief punched a 73-year-old man in the face, breaking his eyeglasses, on a subway train in Downtown Brooklyn this month, police said.
The NYPD released images Wednesday of the man they're searching for in the mid-transit robbery from the morning of Feb. 13.
The victim was riding an F train approaching the York Street station at 9:45 a.m. when his attacker walked up and slugged him in the face, police said.
The force of the blow broke the victim's glasses.
The thief snatched away his cellphone and fled at the York Street stop, according to cops.
The victim declined medical attention at the scene.
