NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man accused of attacking an MTA worker after asking for directions inside a Brooklyn station last month.
It happened at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Friday, July 18, when a 36-year-old MTA employee was standing on the staircase inside the Avenue U station on the F line in Gravesend.
According to officials, the suspect approached the worker and asked for directions then struck him in the face multiple times, causing pain and swelling.
The suspect fled on foot, exiting the subway station to parts unknown.
EMS transported the worker to NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black balaclava face mask, black t-shirt, black pants and black sneakers.
