NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Brooklyn man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed his father to death and left his body to decompose in a pile of garbage, police said.

Cops found the body of the victim, Christoper Adams, 49, decomposing in a pile of trash near the East New York corner of Van Sinderen and Herkimer Street on Oct. 16, police said.

Police believe Adams' son, Joseph Adams, 26, stabbed his father 46 times before wrapping his body in a blanket and stuffing it into a trash bag.

The younger Adams was located in New Orleans by Louisiana authorities conducting a traffic stop.

Adams currently faces chares of murder, concealing a human corpse, tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a weapon.
