NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man died after jumping from the roof of a Midtown building while fleeing a traffic stop early Sunday, police said.

Joley Aristhee was found dead in an alley behind 347 48th Street in Hell's Kitchen after calls came in of an intruder on the roof of the five-story building, police said.

Around 1:50 a.m., cops stopped Aristhee in his car because of illegally tinted windows. Aristhee's car allegedly hit a parked vehicle as he pulled over and he fled his vehicle, police said.

Cops attempted to chase Aristhee but ended up losing him. As police were canvassing the area, they received reports of a suspicious person in the Midtown building. When authorities arrived at the scene, they heard a 'thud' in the back alley where they later found Aristhee's body, police said.

Aristhee was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death comes just a week after former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst jumped to her death from a building nearby by on West 42nd Street.
