
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was killed Thursday morning when he fell between cars on a moving subway train near the Times Square station, police said.
A 2 train was heading downtown shortly after 11 a.m. when the man fell between the train cars in the area of the Times Square–42nd Street station.
It appears that he slipped while moving between the two cars, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No criminality is suspected in his death, according to police.
Southbound 1/2/3 trains bypassed the Times Square station for about an hour. Trains resumed making scheduled stops by 12:45 p.m. but were running with delays in both directions.
