NEW YORK(1010 WINS) — The NYPD on Tuesday released new surveillance footage of a man accused of performing a lewd act while stealing woman's purse in Midtown over the weekend.
At approximately 2 a.m., a 38-year-old woman was walking inside of a residential building in the vicinity of West 44th Street and Ninth Avenue, when the suspect followed her inside and requested cash, police said.
He then took the victim's purse and removed her cellphone and bank cards, authorities said.
According to officials, the suspect then performed a lewd act in front of her before fleeing on foot to parts unknown.

The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black Nike hat, black jacket with fur on the hood, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.
