NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man repeatedly slapped a woman and then stole her phone in a robbery at a Lower Manhattan subway station this week, police said.
The NYPD released surveillance video Friday of the suspect in Monday morning's robbery at the Bowling Green 4/5 station in the Financial District.
The 26-year-old victim was on an escalator leading to the mezzanine of the station around 4:30 a.m. when the man came up and slapped her multiple times, police said.
The man then grabbed the woman's iPhone and fled down the escalator to a 5-line platform, according to police.
The victim refused medical attention, police said.
