NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was robbed and then shot on Manhattan's East Side early Sunday morning, reportedly as he was dining outside.
The 35-year-old victim was at 30th Street and Third Avenue in Kips Bay around 2:15 a.m. when he was approached by a man with a gun, police said.
The man demanded the victim's cash before stealing his chain and watch, according to police.
The gunman then opened fire, striking the man in his leg, police said.

WABC reported that the victim was dining outside during the robbery. Citizen App video shows police and an ambulance near an outdoor dining area that appears to be cordoned off with police tape.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.
The gunman fled the scene on foot. No arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon.
