NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man shot two people and then killed himself on a Brooklyn street early Thursday morning in a suspected "love triangle" altercation, officials said.
NYPD officers responding to multiple 911 calls at 767 Greene Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 3:45 a.m. found a gruesome scene—a 50-year-old man dead on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.
There was a gun lying next to his body, leading investigators to believe he was the shooter, police said.
Also shot were a 38-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man.
The woman was shot in the head. She suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in critical condition.
The man was shot in the abdomen and leg. He was taken to the same hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive.
The relationship between the three of them wasn't immediately known, but police are investigating the violence as stemming from a lovers' quarrel.
A neighbor said the woman lives on the block, although it's unclear if she resides in the building she was shot outside of.
