NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was shot and wounded—possibly through his apartment door—in Queens on Wednesday morning, police said as they searched for two people linked to the shooting.
The 32-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in the gunfire around 5:15 a.m. at 33-07 83rd St. in Jackson Heights, according to police.
Police couldn't immediately confirm reports he was shot through the apartment door, or if shots were fired inside the apartment.
The NYPD is looking for two people who fled the scene northbound on 83rd Street on foot.
The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting weren't immediately known as the investigation continued Wednesday.
