Man with umbrella whacks woman in random UES attack: police

New York (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released surveillance images Friday of a man suspected of randomly attacking a woman with an umbrella on the Upper East Side last week.

The victim, a 24-year-old woman, was at the northeast corner of East 68th Street and First Avenue around 4:25 p.m. last Friday, Feb. 20, when the man assaulted her from behind, police said.

He used an umbrella to bash her on the back, according to police. She suffered pain but declined further medical attention.
