NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A missing Long Island teen was found at Penn Station on Monday following a days-long search that spanned the island and city, police said Tuesday.

John Gray, 15, left his East Hampton home last Wednesday morning and boarded a Long Island Rail Road. He was seen in Manhattan early Thursday morning and then in East New York, Brooklyn, on Friday, according to police.

Officers from departments all over the area had been searching for the teen, who has autism. The public was also asked to help.

Then on Monday around 4:15 p.m., MTA police officers spotted Gray at Penn Station.

He was safe and unharmed, police said, and brought back to East Hampton to be reunited with his family.

There were reports that during his disappearance he was seen walking with three adults who are not known to his family.

While police believe it's a runaway situation, they're asking anyone who knows about his whereabouts when he was missing to contact the the East Hampton Police Department at 631-537-7575.
