NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The NYPD is investigating at least four stabbings Wednesday in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx that left two men dead and two other men injured, one of them critically.
Among those killed was Peter Cavak, 70, of South Richmond Hill, Queens. Officers responding to a 911 call from his home at 115th Street and 109th Avenue around 7:15 a.m. found him with multiple stab wounds to his torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cavak was apparently fighting with his daughter when she allegedly stabbed him, prompting his wife to call 911. The daughter fled but was taken into custody in New Jersey, with charges pending Thursday, police said.

The NYPD is also searching for the killer of Darryl Sargent, 37, who was stabbed to death in front of his apartment building in the Soundview section of the Bronx around 2:45 a.m.
NYPD officers responding to a 911 call at 945 Underhill Ave. found Sargent with a stab wound to the chest. He died at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. No arrests had been reported as of Thursday, and the circumstances surrounding his death are unclear.

A 41-year-old man was also stabbed in the arm during a fight on a moving 2 train around 3 p.m. near the Jackson Avenue station in the Melrose section of the Bronx. He got off the train at the station and sought help from a transit worker, while his attacker remained aboard the train and fled. The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

And in Downtown Brooklyn on Wednesday night, a man was stabbed in the chest and critically wounded during a fight with another man outside a smoke shop.
The two men got into a scuffle around 8 p.m. at Jay and Willoughby streets, and the victim was stabbed in the head and neck, according to police. He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was fighting for his life Thursday. No arrests have been reported.
