NJ father, 52, charged with fatally shooting daughter, 28, in the chest

BAYONNE, N.J. (1010 WINS) - A father was arrested and charged in connection with the shooting death of his daughter inside a New Jersey apartment on Monday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

At about 11:35 p.m., Bayonne Police Department received a 911 call reporting a shooting inside of an apartment at 331 Ave. E in Bayonne.

Upon arrival, officials, discovered Keyanna Brown, 28, shot in the upper chest by her father, Errol Brown, 52.

Brown was pronounced dead on Tuesday, June 13.

Errol was charged with Murder, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

He is being detained at the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
