NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 50-year-old New Jersey man who was found stabbed in neck at a Greenwich Village subway station has died, authorities announced Tuesday.
Vincent Norman, a Jersey City resident, was attacked earlier this month at the West 4th St.-Washington Square subway station. His death was declared a homicide by the city’s Medical Examiner on Friday.
At about 4:25 a.m. on June 14, transit officers were conducting a station inspection when they discovered Norman unconscious and unresponsive on the mezzanine level near the token booth.
Norman had stab wounds in the back of his neck, authorities said.
The knife used in the attack was found nearby.
EMS rushed him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, where he later died. His date of death was not immediately disclosed.
There have been no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
