Off-duty NYC correction officer charged for pulling gun in fight over parking spot

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An off-duty New York City correction officer was arrested for whipping out a gun during a fight over a Queens parking spot Monday, police said.

John Destina, 35, got into an argument over the parking space at 114th Street and 101st Avenue in Richmond Hill around 6:40 p.m., cops told the Daily News.

Destina allegedly threatened the victim with a gun as the dispute escalated.

He was arrested and charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon after cops were called.
