NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Manhattan middle school student was found with a backpack full of weapons on Thursday, The Daily News reported.
The 14-year-old is a student at Intermediate School 70 in Chelsea where a source told The Daily News the student showed a pupil a knife who then reported it to the principal.
According to The Daily News, school safety agents saw the teen behaving strangely and searched his backpack where they found four knives, a set of brass knuckles, an expandable baton, fireworks and a laser pointer.
Sources told The Daily News that the student was not arrested but he was charged with weapons possession as he was not threatening students or faculty.
The boy was suspended from the school.
