NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 66-year-old man was slashed across the neck and critically injured Sunday after asking a man to stop urinating on a car in the East Village, police said.

The NYPD released images of the suspect, who remained at large Monday.

He was urinating on a car at East 14th Street and First Avenue just after 5 p.m. when the victim asked him to stop, police said.

In response, he whipped out a box cutter and slashed the victim across the neck, causing a severe laceration and bleeding, according to police.

Just a few hours after the attack, an NYPD officer was injured in Inwood by a man who drove at officers who'd caught him urinating in public, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
