NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two NYPD police officers accused of assault in separate incidents that occurred hours apart were arrested late Thursday, officials said.
At around 5 p.m., 29-year-old Freddy Difo, an NYPD officer was arrested in the Bronx for allegedly slapping his 3-year-old son in the face, causing redness and bruising, authorities said.
Difo was charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child and assault, police said.
At approximately 10:25 p.m., another officer - 34-year-old Nasimdzhon Melikov is accused of getting out of his car during a traffic dispute with a 38-year-old woman in south Brooklyn and then punching her in the face, authorities said.
Melikov faces assault and menacing charges, officials said.
The victim was transported to Coney Island Hospital for an evaluation, .
