NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested in Brooklyn Sunday for drunk driving, authorities said.

The cop, 31-year-old Tomas Garcia, was sleeping in his personal vehicle at Eighth Avenue and 61st Street when he was woken up by EMS workers around 8:30 a.m., police said.
Garcia was showing signs of intoxication and arrested at the scene.
The officer was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to police.
