NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police gave the all-clear after the Bomb Squad investigated a pressure cooker that was discovered inside the last car of a PATH train from Newark, sources told NBC New York.

The sources added that the train had been at the station for over an hour when the discovery was made. The Port Authority later confirmed to the outlet that the station had been evacuated.

Police had encouraged visitors to avoid the Oculus at this time, but said after an hour that traffic would resume as normal.

PATH service from Hoboken to the World Trade Center had been suspended, while 1 trains were bypassing the World Trade Center in both directions. Officials said residual delays are expected in the surrounding area.
