NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 36-year-old Queens man was charged in a 131-count complaint after police found a massive arsenal of ghost guns, ammunition and accessories at his home and storage locker, according to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.

Ghost guns are assembled at home and don’t have serial numbers, making them untraceable and popular for criminal use.

“Ghost gun trafficking is a developing cottage industry that threatens to make an already pervasive gun violence problem even worse,” said Katz. “That is why this case is so important and why my office is a leader in the fight against ghost guns.”

The raids on Grzegorz Blachowicz’s home and storage locker were the culmination of a long-term investigation into the purchase of polymer-based, unserialized firearm components.

His arsenal allegedly included pistols, machine guns, body armor, ammunition and weapon accessories.

Blachowicz was arraigned for various weapons possession charges on Thursday.

His next court date is set for Monday. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted on all counts.
