NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman broke into an elevated subway train and took it on a joyride in Queens on Thursday morning, police said.
The woman somehow got into the N train at the Broadway station in Astoria around 4:30 a.m.
She drove the train one stop to the 36th Avenue station and then fled on foot, police said.
No passengers were on the train at the time, and no injuries were reported, according to police. The MTA said there was no impact to service.
The woman remained at large Friday. No description or images of her have been released.
It wasn’t immediately clear how she got a key to enter the conductor cab and operate the train. In past incidents, joyriders have acquired stolen keys.
Earlier this year, police arrested multiple teens who commandeered an R train for a joyride in Brooklyn.
