NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A driver struck a pedestrian and crashed into sidewalk scaffolding in Midtown Manhattan on Monday morning as she swerved to avoid another car, police said.
The driver—a 40-year-old woman—was headed northbound on Third Avenue shortly after 9 a.m. when she veered off the road at East 58th Street, according to the NYPD and FDNY.
Her SUV struck a 22-year-old man and crashed into scaffolding, police said.
