Authorities say two good Samaritans saved the life of a man who fell onto the tracks at the Times Square - 42nd Street station and another good-hearted onlooker rescued a man who fell onto the tracks at the 4th Avenue - 9th Street station in Brooklyn.

At Times Square, two co-workers took action when they saw a man lying face down on the tracks.

"There was no time for hesitation, I was fortunate to be there to save this man’s life," Denis Pupovic told NBC New York.

His co-worker, Eamon Carey said the train was coming in, but they had enough time to get in and out safely.

"I didn’t know what was happening. Denis didn’t hesitate, we had no conversation — next thing I know we’re on the tracks pulling this guy up," said Carey. "I just think it's the right thing to do, that's all it is."

In Brooklyn, a stranger jumped onto the tracks in a moment of daring courage to rescue a 52-year-old man who had fallen. The good Samaritan rolled the man over the lip of the platform and climbed off of the tracks just as the train rolled in.

Emergency responders took the man who fell onto the tracks to the hospital to treat injuries on his hands and legs, but he is in stable condition.

The person who saved him was not injured.

A third person slipped onto the tracks at the Junction Boulevard station in Queens and was struck and killed by a No. 7 train, according to police. The NYPD is investigating the incident.
