NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police on Tuesday released a photo of a suspect wanted for shoving a 75-year-old woman onto the ground last week in an unprovoked attack on the Upper East Side.

It happened at approximately 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, in front of 225 East 83rd Street.


According to officials, the woman was walking on the sidewalk when the suspect shoved her, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the ground.

The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

EMS transported the victim to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center to be treated for her ankle injury.

The suspect was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, black pants, black sneakers, and a black backpack.
