NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman accused of setting fire to a Pride flag emblazoned with the words “make America gay again” and scrawling “Jesus is king” on cop cars was found incompetent to stand trial on Tuesday.

Angelina Cando, 30, allegedly committed the vandalism and arson outside a SoHo restaurant in February.

Prosecutors charged her with hate crime arson, hate crime criminal mischief and hate crime reckless endangerment.

The law requires that a defendant have the ability to understand the charges against them and consult with an attorney.

If they are unable to do so, a court can deem a defendant incompetent to stand trial.

It is not clear what behavior led to the ruling for Cando.
