NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released a photo on Friday of a woman who is accused of violently attacking a woman and telling her to "go back to China" during an unprovoked assault in Lower Manhattan over the weekend.
The incident occurred at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, in front of 250 Hudson Street in Hudson Square, authorities said.
According to police, a 26-year-old woman was approached from behind by the suspect who made anti-Asian statements and then punched the victim in the back of her head.
The suspect fled on foot to parts unknown, officials said.
The victim, who suffered pain to the back of her head, refused medical attention.
The investigation by the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is ongoing.
