MILLVILLE, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a loaded handgun at three police officers during a traffic stop, according to a report.
The three officers pulled Dante Hayes, 31, of Millville, over for an unspecified reason on Aug.28, NJ.com reported, citing information from court documents.
After the officers pulled Hayes over, he stepped out of his car, aimed a gun at them, and started running when they told him to drop it, the outlet reported.
Hayes was arrested after a brief chase, according to the outlet. The officers reportedly found his 9mm Glock semi-automatic — which had a "high-capacity magazine and hollow-point ammunition" — in a nearby backyard.
He faces several weapons charges, as well as charges including assault and hindering apprehension, the outlet reported.
His attorney information wasn't immediately available Friday.
