NJ man charged with sex crimes on boys, 4 and 7, who knew him: prosecutor

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A West New York man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 4-year-old boy and committing a sex crime on a 7-year-old boy while two other children were present, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said Wednesday.

Antonio Yat Pop, 24, was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and multiple counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Suarez said the crimes took place on Tuesday at a West New York home and involved victims who knew him.

He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Jersey City and has been remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, the prosecutor said.

The state has filed a detention motion, which is scheduled to be heard next Tuesday.
