NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A teen on Long Island was arrested on Sunday after crashing a stolen car into a house, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a car crashing into a house at 103 Lynbrook Dr. in Mastic Beach at around 4:24 p.m. Two male suspects fled the car, a 2010 Mazda CX-9, on foot.
When officers arrived, they found that the car had been parked down the block on Lynbrook Drive and was stolen immediately prior to the crash. No injuries were reported.
The exterior of the house had minor damage, police said.
Police and canine units searched the area and found a 16-year-old suspect at around 6 p.m.
The teen was charged with robbery and was held overnight at the precinct.
Police did not comment about the second suspect.
