NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – New York City got its first inch of snow in nearly two years on Tuesday, with at least 1.4 inches falling in Central Park.
It was hardly a major snowstorm, but it was a welcome sight for many after 701 days without an inch of snow.

The last time the city saw significant snowfall was on Feb. 13, 2022, when 1.4 inches was measured in Central Park. That was 700 days ago on Sunday.
The snow drought was the longest Central Park had gone without an inch of the white stuff in a single day since record-keeping started in 1869. The previous record was 383 days, ending in March 1998.
