The Greenville City Council discussed the purchase of a new public safety building at Monday night’s meeting. The council voted to move forward on purchasing a building at Halton Road and Mall Connector Road. The proposal will have to be brought up again at the next meeting and the city will have to workout contract terms with the building’s owner Daniel International. The 1st step in the process is complete though. Chief Thompson spoke with me about the need for the new building and how it will help his department. The full interview is below.
