ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported that Nate Tibbetts was interviewing with the Grizzlies for their head coaching opening:
Memphis has been granted permission to interview Portland assistant Nate Tibbetts for franchise’s head coaching job, league sources tell ESPN.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) May 20, 2019Tibbetts is currently an assistant coach for the Portland Trail Blazers after spending two season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He guided the Thunder's D (now G) League team to a 64-41 record and two trips to the playoffs. Prior to his D-League work Tibbetts was at the University of Sioux Falls as an assistant coach. He played college basketball at the University of South Dakota.
